Andrew Lewinter is a Eugene, Oregon lawyer who handles a variety of individual employment claims, including illegal discrimination, retaliation, breach of contract, and employee benefits.

Mr. Lewinter represents employees in the following areas:

Depending on the nature of the dispute and the client's preference, Mr. Lewinter may first attempt to settle your case prior to litigation. If the parties are unable to reach a resolution to the employee's satisfaction, however, the case may proceed to the following forums for resolution:
  • Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI),
  • Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)
Mr. Lewinter may then proceed to file a lawsuit in either state or federal court, at which point the case will proceed to trial.

Labor Union Representation

Mr. Lewinter's clients have included public sector labor unions such as the National Education Association of Santa Fe (NEA-Santa Fe), International Allance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 675, and Lane County Public Works Association Local 626. Mr. Lewinter also represents private sector labor unions such as Local 618 of the American Federation of Musicians (AFM).

Mr. Lewinter provides the following services to labor union clients:

  • Representation before federal government agencies, such as the NLRB
  • Representation before state agencies, such as the Oregon Employment Relations Board
  • Advice on Compliance with the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (also known as the Landrum-Griffin Act or LMRDA), including help with internal union elections and in the preparation of LM reports
