Lewinter Law

Biography

Mr. Lewinter graduated cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law, where he also served as Lead Articles Editor of the Georgia State Law Review. There, he wrote and had published a law review article about the rights of undocumented workers under federal employment discrimination laws. Following law school, he was Legal Counsel for the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) in Washington, D.C., where he helped draft NLRB decisions and guide labor law and policy.

Mr. Lewinter was a symphony musician for fourteen years prior to becoming an employment attorney and labor attorney. While a musician, he actively participated in collective bargaining and representation of employees as chairman of the musicians' representative committee. That experience nurtured a strong belief in unionism and the rights of employees, and eventually inspired him to become a labor and employment attorney. Mr. Lewinter's work experience prior to becoming an employment lawyer gave him a practical understanding of the dynamic of the workplace; his work as a labor attorney at the NLRB provided legal knowledge to apply to that background.
